On December 21, CASIC and COMAC signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, marking that the two sides will follow the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implement the guiding principles of the 19th CPC National Congress and the Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Plenary Sessions of the 19th CPC Central Committee, focus on boosting national scientific and technological innovation strength and building more independent and controllable industrial and supply chains to further promote and deepen cooperation in airframe structural components, aviation safety, industrial basic components, aircraft manufacturing and logistics systems and ground equipment, and vigorously nurture new growth drivers to promote the prosperity of China's aerospace industry.
Yuan Jie, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of CASIC, Liu Chuandong, member of the Party Leadership Group and Chief Accountant of CASIC, He Dongfeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of COMAC, Zhao Yuerang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of COMAC, Wei Yingbiao, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of COMAC, and leaders from relevant departments and organizations of CASIC and COMAC attended the event.
Yuan Jie and his party visited the 5G industrial scene laboratory, composite workshop, intelligent CNC workshop and ARJ21 production line. Later, the two sides had talks and exchanges, and held a signing ceremony of agreement to deepen strategic cooperation.
Yuan Jie said that COMAC has developed rapidly in recent years, and made a series of innovation achievements including intelligent workshops and intelligent logistics systems represented by 5G applications, establishing a benchmark in the industry. He pointed out that China's aviation industry and aerospace industry can be traced to the same origin. CASIC is thoroughly implementing the "1+4" strategy, focusing on main responsibilities and businesses, working to secure solid progress in building a world-class aerospace defense corporation, and making concerted efforts to promote the high-quality development of CASIC. CASIC will continue to fully support COMAC, and coordinate the superior resources of both sides to strengthen areas of weakness and build strength. Yuan hoped that both sides would give full play to their respective advantages in technology and talents, make unremitting efforts in the areas of cooperation, pool wisdom to make breakthroughs in key and core technologies, work together to get off to a good start for the "14th Five-Year Plan", and make new and greater contributions to fully building a great modern socialist country.
He Dongfeng made a comprehensive review to the achievements made by the two sides through close cooperation, and expressed his thanks to CASIC for its strong support to COMAC! He pointed out that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, COMAC will focus on improvement of the product pedigree, development of independent and controllable key technologies, optimization of the civil aircraft manufacturing industry and supply chains, and other planning tasks. He hoped that both sides could further deepen their friendship, develop cooperation in more core and key areas, accelerate the reform and innovation of the aviation manufacturing industry, and contribute to the high-quality development of China's aviation industry.
