On May 28, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) and China Communications Construction Group Co., Ltd. (CCCG) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, under which the two sides will cooperate around new infrastructure construction, major projects of coordinated development of regions, intelligent high-end equipment and other fields.
Yuan Jie, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of CASIC, Chen Guoying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CASIC; Wang Tongzhou, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CCCG, Liu Xiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union, Sun Ziyu, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager; leaders of relevant departments of both sides attended the signing ceremony.
Yuan Jie expressed his admiration for CCCG's outstanding contribution to China's infrastructure construction and thanked CCCG for its care and support for China's aerospace industry and CASIC. He introduced the specific situation of CASIC's defense equipment industry, aerospace industry, civil industry, etc., and said that the signing of strategic cooperation framework agreement between CASIC and CCCG opened a new chapter for the cooperation between the two sides, in which, the two will jointly contribute to the construction of China into a power in space and transportation.
On deepening the future cooperation between the two sides, Yuan Jie put forward four suggestions: first, insist on scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement, and collaborate to carry out innovation in common frontier technology fields; second, practice the mission of a central SOE and jointly participate in the major strategies of coordinated development of regions in China; third, promote the high-end and intelligent development of manufacturing industry as a common goal, and promote the innovative development of port equipment, ship and offshore engineering equipment, offshore wind power equipment and other industries; fourth, strengthen cooperation in the context of global pandemic of COVID-19.
Wang Tongzhou expressed his admiration for the achievements made by CASIC in recent years in the fields of national defense construction, equipment manufacturing, informatization and digitalization, and introduced the specific situation of CCCG in engineering contracting, urban integrated development and operation and other segments. Wang Tongzhou said that the system science concept adhered to by CASIC in scientific research and production and enterprise management has set an example for CCCG, and CCCG will enhance exchanges with CASIC to learn from it in this field. CASIC and CCCG have their respective advantages and complementary strengths in various fields such as project development and operation and maintenance, engineering construction, equipment manufacturing, international business, etc., and the two see great potential and space in cooperation to open a new chapter in high quality development.
